How PLBRA Endorses
A board vote. Resident-driven.
PLBRA endorsements are made by the elected board of directors, the same neighbors who volunteer their time to advocate for Park La Brea’s 12,000 residents throughout the year. No single member controls the outcome — candidates are evaluated and voted on by the full board.
The association reviews candidates running in races that directly affect the residents of Park La Brea: local, state, and federal offices whose decisions shape housing, city services, and the quality of life in our neighborhood.
When the board cannot reach an endorsement in a race — as happened in the California State Senate District 28 contest — we record that publicly rather than stay silent. PLBRA has operated independently of management since 1985. That same independence applies to how we engage in elections.
